Eve age 8:
'I successfully grew lots of tasty vegetables. This was my first 'lock down' harvest. I also drew a lovely picture and attached it to the bins to say thank you to the bin men for carrying on. We have struck up a friendship and they always look out for me to wave to say hello.'

I really enjoyed making our own endings to Alice in Wonderland
My version of Alice and Wonderland ending.
Alice had been one of the queen’s victims of stealing a jam tart when she didn’t really steal them because she was busy playing with the queen in a game that wasn’t at all fair for Alice because they cheated and made the queen win instead of Alice. She was quite young but intelligent, Alice was stuck in trial she kept hearing noises going around the courtroom she was stuck in. It wasn't fair for Alice at all because she was the one who was telling the truth but the others thought she was just lying, after some time they brought in other victims to find the actual answer technically the truth. The cheshire cat was the one trying to help Alice escape and come out of wonderland. The white rabbit was also behind this solution as well. The queen declared to “OFF WITH YOUR HEAD” to Alice because she was the only one who was being suspicious, she was only trying to get out of here she didn’t know anyone was trying to save her, as soon as she was leaving she had a thought she was going to get chased so she ran out of the court as fast as she could but the door was locked and she had no way of getting out so the cheshire cat came and touched her shoulder and she disappeared in thin air and she could go through the door after she was out the cheshire cat touched her shoulder and she re-appeared! It was quite wowing that the white rabbit waited for her and gave her his clockwatch to come back to wonderland and go back to her world again! She was delighted after that and she whispered “I promise I will come back to visit.” She turned the tick and went back to her real world.
THE END!

Change
This work was created as part of the "21st Century Minds" art project with Lancashire Youth Challenge and Stanley's Community Centre. This partnership delivered a 10-week online art project for young people in the Lancaster and Morecambe area during the height of lockdown in 2021. Led by artist Hannah Whitlow, young people met each week online to experiment with different medias and artistic techniques before planning and creating pieces of artwork focused around the themes of place, identity and hope.
This piece is called "Abuse."
"This is artwork that helps to bring awareness of abuse of all types. That your voices are not silenced. That no matter what type of abuse you have endured, you are strong, you matter and you are valid.
Asking for help is not a sign of weakness, it is a sign of strength! You are not alone and there is always help for those who need it and for those who ask for it.
This piece is about how no matter your bruises and scars, whether they are physical or not, you are still beautiful, you still matter and you are valid."
This piece is called "Black Lives Matter." It is made of book pages, acrylic paint and tissue paper. The mix of shades from brown to lighter pink colours represent that skin tone doesn't matter. The artist hopes that people will see this piece and rethink how they treat people in society, looking to instil that the colour of someone's skin does not define a person.
This piece is called "Split Personality."
When creating this piece I felt down and alone which is represented in the skull side of the piece. The other side of the piece represents happiness. Both of these two conflicting emotions are some things which can be difficult to express at times. This piece represents that people can hide their true emotions and at times it becomes hard to hold it in, deal with or convey.
Two artists highlight love in this piece and valuing the things close to them which have been so important during lockdown. It portrays the importance of family, partners and the natural world in helping us cope through difficult times. They hope this piece will allow the viewer to reflect on those important people around them and consider how they show appreciation for them.

My wonderful son decided to get as many selection boxes or family chocolates that he could for the food bank so that he could make children smile
We made a small allotment in our garden and planted tomatoes, corn on the cob, green beans, Brussels sprouts, rhubarb, lettuce, carrots and blueberries. We ate fresh veg all summer long.
We also got the whole estate to make spitfire planes to put in the front garden while they did their exercise walk to remember the fallen and built a remembrance garden.
There are loads of other things we did, but ran out of room

My brothers and I tried all vehicles we could find. We also made assault courses in our garden. And we found a new dirt track in the woods.
Lockdown was great as there was no school. I got to play online gaming with my friends, also did some cooking for the first time and created a few things. We did things together as a family which doesn't happen vey often.

My favourite thing to do is play football but lockdown has meant that my matches and training have had to stop. However, this has allowed me to gain new hobbies, such as photography which is now one of my favourite things to do! These were taken in Dornoch, Highlands and Cartmel, Cumbria.
