Experience creative activities and events:
We are excited to announce that during this exhibition we are offering a range of free activities to enable you to conect with some of the artists creative processes. There will also be some opportinites for hands-on creativity of your own with some of the arists exhibiting in the exhibition.
10 - 11am Tuesday 12th to Friday 15th May:
On each of these days there will be taster sessions. Each session will offer different materials and processes to work with including: clay, charcoal, paint and an introduction to weaving.
Gill Aitken: Making Mosaics Demo
A chance to work and talk with Gill, a mosaic artist, as she demonstrates some of the processes involved in creating permanent mosaic art.
Some of her work is on show in the xhibition ans she will be in the exhibition during the following times:
Tuesday 12th May 12 - 3pm
Friday 15th May 12 - 3pm

Ann Kretzschmar: Soft Pastel Painting Demo
Ann is a soft pastel artist with artworks in the exhibition and will be in the gallery working on a pastel drawing. Come along to see the process, tricks of the trade, and ask a few questions.

Roz Ivanič: Writing An Art Book: Talk with Questions
Roz has recently published a book about her husband Milan Ivanič's life as a visual artist. She will be talking through the different processes involved between the idea and the end-published book.

Gerald Fitzgerald: Quick Approaches to OIl Painting: Demo
Gerald will be demonstrating and talking about his approach to oil painting and during the session will work towards completing an original painting. Gerald says, "people think that oil painting is a slow process but it doesn't have to be". Come and see Gerald work an oil painting from start to finish and see the different stages he uses.
